SIIRI – Implant Lecture Series 2024

Our lecture series continues with a new round of presentations. This year, we are offering six sessions featuring distinguished national and international experts in the field of implant research. The series is designed to foster interdisciplinary exchange and is open to researchers and students from various academic backgrounds.
The series will commence on March 5, 2024, from 5:00 – 6:00 PM, with a lecture by PD Dr. Janin Reifenrath from Hannover Medical School. Her talk, titled “Preclinical testing of implant materials – Why do we still need animal models?”, will critically examine the role of preclinical testing in the evaluation of implant materials, emphasizing the continued relevance of animal models in these assessments.
The lecture will be held in English and takes place at the Lower Saxony Center for Biomedicine, Implant Research, and Development (NIFE).
