SIIRI at the IdeenExpo 2022

From July 2 to July 10, 2022, IdeenExpo 2022 took place at the Hannover fairground, with SIIRI actively participating through its own exhibition area. Students had the opportunity to explore SIIRI research and inquire about studying disciplines such as medicine, natural sciences, and engineering. The exhibition also featured a model of an artificial mouth, allowing students to personally test the effectiveness of hand disinfection in preventing infections.
During a visit by the delegation of the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture, led by Minister Björn Thümmler, SIIRI not only showcased innovative research approaches but also highlighted the interdisciplinary nature of the network. The deliberate focus on training interdisciplinary scientists and researchers within SIIRI holds great significance for biomedical engineering research in Lower Saxony.
The event was a fantastic experience, and there is anticipation for the next IdeenExpo.
