The Implant Technology Career Day 2024, held on November 6th at the Production Technology Center Hannover (PZH) in Garbsen, was a great success and provided participants with a valuable opportunity to explore career prospects in the biomedical industry.

The event kicked off with a relaxed check-in, allowing attendees to network over snacks and cold drinks. The following presentations offered exciting insights into various aspects of career planning and job applications within the biomedical sector.

Cora Heymann from LUH kicked off the day with a talk on key competencies for a career in the scientific field, followed by Marc Buddensieg from the Life/Work Planning Institute, who gave an interactive presentation on career planning and job search in the hidden job market, offering valuable tips for PhD students and early-career professionals.

After a short coffee break, Dr. Birgitta Stolze, Managing Director of LLS ROWIAK Laser LabSolutions GmbH, provided fascinating insights into the practical side of the biomedical industry. This was followed by Dr. Jochen Bahner from Carbogen Amics, who gave an online presentation on quality control and assurance in the field of implant technology.

The program concluded with Dr. Alina Eilers, Co-Founder and COO of Phaeosynth, who shared her experiences from an entrepreneurial perspective and offered valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities for young companies in the biomedical sector.

The day ended with a Meet & Greet, where participants and companies had the chance to exchange ideas and expand their networks in a relaxed atmosphere. The Implant Technology Career Day thus provided not only a platform for valuable conversations but also an opportunity to actively shape one’s career in the biomedical field.
