We are delighted to welcome Prof. Dr.-Ing. Max Marian as part of our Implant Lecture Series.
Professor Max Marian is Director of the Institute of Machine Design and Tribology at Leibniz University Hannover and Assistant professor at the Department of Mechanical and Metallurgical Engineering, School of Engineering, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (UC). Max Marian’s scientific work focuses on energy efficiency and sustainability through tribology, with an emphasis on the modification of surfaces through microtexturing and coatings. In addition to machine elements and engine components, he is researching biotribology and artificial joints. Accordingly, his lecture is entitled:
„Enhancing the service life of load-bearing implants by surface modification“
We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stefan Zimmermann, who will be moderating this event.
